Obviously, when choosing your Motability vehicle you need to ensure that the car you choose is going to be suitable for the whole of your agreement. Below is a list of some things you may want to consider before choosing your Motability vehicle.

Size and Shape

Take some time to really consider what tasks and journeys you are going to be making in your car. Although there is no such thing as one perfect car for all occasions, thinking about what you will be using the car for will narrow down the sizes and body styles of vehicle that you can consider. Choosing the correct car at the beginning of your Motability agreement is the key to ensuring you have the best out of your three years of worry free motoring.

Price

Across the Mon Motors Group, we have new cars that will cost you no more than your monthly allowance. These cars are described as having "no advance payment". If you want to expand the range of vehicles that are available for you to choose then you can consider those cars that come with an "advance payment". Advance payments are a non-refundable payment that you would make to the Mon Motors Group at the start of your Motability agreement. The advance payment is the difference between the amount your allowance covers over the three year agreement period and the overall cost of the car you choose. The amount of advance payments varies, depending on the car you choose and ranges from nothing to several thousand pounds.

Fuel Consumption

Fuel costs can add a great deal to your cost of motoring and cars vary significantly in how many miles per gallon (mpg) they achieve. Cars with a higher mpg cost less to run and are often more environmentally friendly.
