Ford of Britain are launching a new National Network of Parts Plus Centres that will provide an exceptional range of services all designed to support the sale of trade parts directly to independent repairers and body shops.

Parts Plus has been designed to focus on meeting the needs of existing and new trade customers and your local Parts Plus Centre will hold extensive, competitively priced stock of Genuine Ford, Motorcraft and Omnicraft parts, supplied through a reliable, regular and professional delivery service.

Parts Plus has been carefully designed with a core focus on local business knowledge. Customers will receive friendly and helpful advice from product experts and will be able to take advantage of the many exciting product and marketing promotions and offers that will be available within the Parts Plus programme.

We are looking to recruit into the following roles -


Ford Parts Plus Centre Manager

Reporting to the Directors, the Centre Manager is responsible for leading, managing and motivating the Ford Parts Plus team to achieve the agreed business plan and provide excellent customer service. The role also carries the responsibility for strategic planning, processes and all aspects of running a successful Ford Parts Plus Centre.

Key activities will include:

  • Ensuring Centre targets set by head office are achieved
  • Ensuring the team is motivated, recognised and incentivised
  • Creating Personal Development Plans, monitor progress and provide developmental or corrective support where required
  • Creating a Manpower Plan for your centre and put a succession plan in place
  • Regularly monitor business performance. Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Analysing internal and external market data to develop an understanding of the potential sales opportunities
  • Working to achieve agreed business plan and budget, controlling costs
  • Ensuring compliance with business standards and processes, financial, legal and ethical guidelines (including Warranty)
  • Maintaining an effective relationship with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring the overall security of the stock and premises

In order to be successful for the role of Centre Manager position, you must:

  • Have a proven ability or aptitude for leading and motivating a team to achieve business targets in a B2B environment
  • Have a passion for providing a great customer service experience and the automotive industry
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Be experienced at devising strategies and implementing plans

Skills and experience required:

  • The ability to provide an exceptional customer service experience

  • Have a high degree of IT literacy and a proficient user of MS Office. CDK/Kerridge experience desirable

Ford Parts Plus Sales Development Manager

Reporting to the Centre Manager the Sales Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers and achieving sales targets for the customer based in their defined territory.

Key activities will include:

  • Achieving sales targets for the customers based in a defined territory
  • Working within the identified sales strategy to increase sales revenues
  • Identifying and potential sales opportunities within customer base plus new customers within the territory
  • Developing and building strong relationships with all customers
  • Assist, liaise with and support the Centre team to ensure good working relationships and delivery of excellent customer service
  • Working with the Sales Manager, Parts Sales Executive team, and others to achieve sales targets and provide a joined-up approach to sales
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and adhering to GDPR regulations
  • Interrogating sales data to ensure that multiple sales call objectives are set prior to customer visits
  • Ensuring compliance with business standards and processes, financial, legal and ethical guidelines (including Warranty)

In order to be successful for the Sales Development Manager position, you must:

  • Be a self-starter with a proven track record in building strong relationships and achieving sales targets in a B2B environment
  • Have extensive customer account management experience with a real passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Have a passion or interest in the automotive industry or parts
  • Be IT literate, preferably with a good working knowledge of MS Excel. CDK/Kerridge experience desirable
  • Have a full clean UK driving licence

Skills and experience required:

  • Ability to provide an exceptional customer service experience
  • Performance orientated with proven selling and negotiation skills

Ford Parts Plus Telephone Sales Manager

Reporting to the Centre Manager the Telesales Manager is responsible to lead, manage and motivate the Parts Sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Through the team, develop strong relationships with customers, by providing expert knowledge and support and provide an exceptional customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring own and Telephone Sales Team overall sales targets are achieved
  • Distributing targets equitably and in accordance with the allocation of the customers and the skill and experience of each team member
  • Monitoring team performance and display daily achievement against targets – encourage a positive and competitive team spirit
  • Attending weekly first line Centre management meetings and report on sales and marketing activity vs performance
  • Ensuring you and your team are adequately trained and understand the Unique Selling Proposition of the Parts Plus brand, the “Features and Benefits” of the Parts Plus product range especially the genuine vs non-genuine aspect, and how to overcome sales objections
  • Conducting regular 1:1 performance reviews to monitor the achievement of individual KPI’s, and provide developmental or corrective support where required
  • Providing and maintaining an excellent level of service to customers via the team – through understanding customer requirements, responses to requests, provision of expert advice, product knowledge, resolution of queries and complaints
  • Working with the Sales Development Manager, arrange and facilitate customers visits by Parts Sales Executive
  • Ensuring compliance with business standards and processes, financial, legal, warranty and ethical guidelines
  • Managing customer credit against limits and process credit escalation requests to the Centre Manager

Skills and Experience required

  • A proven ability in managing and motivating a team to achieve sales targets
  • Previous call centre management experience gained in a B2B environment, or sales team management experience
  • A passion for providing a great customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Possesses a high degree of IT literacy. CDK/Kerridge experience desirable

Ford Parts Plus Warehouse Manager

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Parts Plus Warehouse Manager is responsible for running an effective and efficient warehouse through the management of the warehouse team to deliver excellent service to customers. The role carries the responsibility for maintaining the highest levels of stock integrity through efficient stock management and implementing warehouse processes to ensure full audit traceability.

Key activities will include:

  • Setting and allocating performance targets for the Warehouse Operatives and Van Drivers.
  • Conducting regular 1:1 performance reviews to monitor the achievement of individual KPI's, and provide developmental or corrective support where required
  • Providing a high level of service to customers by ensuring your team follow the correct warehouse processes and procedures
  • Ensuring that all inbound stock is checked, allocated to the correct locations and any anomalies or damages are reported immediately
  • Maintaining a stock inventory to ensure shelf to system accuracy
  • Ensuring stock is kept safe, secure and in good condition, as per process guidelines
  • Through the team, ensuring orders are picked accurately and promptly ready for despatch to the customer
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times (particularly Manual Handling practices)
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and efficient environment
  • Complying with established business processes and guidelines (including warranty)

In order to be successful for the Warehouse Manager position, you must:

  • Have a passion or interest in the automotive industry
  • Proven experience of providing great customer service
  • Have a positive ‘can-do' attitude and an honest disposition.
  • Be IT literate and preferably an advanced user of MS Excel. CDK/Kerridge experience desirable
  • Have the ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Be able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines

Skills and experience required:

  • Have previous experience of working in a supervisory or management position preferably within a warehouse that deals with high volume product lines
  • A proven ability to successfully manage and motivate a team to achieve performance objectives

Ford Parts Plus Parts Telephone Sales Executives

Reporting to the Telephone Sales Manager, the Telephone Sales Executive is responsible for professionally representing the Parts Plus brand, building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers, whilst achieving allocated sales targets. The role also carries the responsibility for being a brand champion, demonstrating and providing expert knowledge, advice and support, when engaging with customers.

Key activities will include:

  • Achieving personal KPI‘s and revenue objectives with target customers
  • Accurately identifying parts to meet the customer sales requirements
  • Utilising all product promotions effectively to achieve specific targets
  • Maintaining own product knowledge and awareness of competitor activities
  • Building strong working relationships with customers through regular contact with them on the phone and via face to face visits
  • Providing a high level of service to customers - through understanding their requirements, responding to requests, progressing orders and providing expert advice
  • Ensuring the proper and accurate use of all systems to search and order parts
  • Completing all required documentation accurately and promptly
  • Dealing with all cash and credit card transactions in line with Guidelines in the Operations Manual

In order to be successful for the Telephone Sales Executive position, you must:

  • Be a self-starter with a proven track record in building strong relationships and achieving sales targets in a B2B environment
  • Be a confident and capable communicator with proven experience of selling in a fast paced and/or telesales environment

Ford Parts Plus Warehouse Operative

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective control of inbound and outbound warehouse parts stock whilst supporting the provision of an excellent service to customers

Key activities will include:

  • Checking all incoming stock deliveries against pack notes and ensure all parts have a parts number
  • Advising on any discrepancies promptly; marking paperwork accordingly
  • Checking for damages on incoming parts orders and record any issues
  • Identifying and placing inbound parts into the correct locations (stock items, customer orders etc.)
  • Picking customer orders quickly and accurately to make ready for dispatch
  • Maintaining stock securely and in good condition
  • Providing the highest levels of customer service by picking parts accurately and assembling for the customer delivery runs
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times (particularly manual handling practices)
  • Following and complying with established business processes and guidelines (including warranty)

In order to be successful for the Warehouse Operative position, you must:

  • Have experience in a parts or distribution operation involving inventory control, goods inwards and order picking
  • Be passionate about the automotive industry
  • Have proven experience of providing great customer service
  • Demonstrate a positive ‘can-do' attitude and an honest disposition
  • Be able to lift and carry heavy items

Skills and experience required:

  • Computer literate – able to use appropriate systems and software (e.g. Excel) CDK/Kerridge experience desirable
  • Ability to work in a small team, as well using own initiative
  • Ability to record information accurately and legibly
  • A methodical approach and pay attention to detail
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written

Ford Parts Plus Van Sales Driver

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be the face of Ford Parts Plus, delivering parts to our customers often multiple times per day in the South Wales area. You will provide an excellent service every time, taking time to get to know the customers and optimum routes.

Key activities will include:

Deliveries

  • Checking orders to be delivered, deal with anomalies and advise the warehouse team.
  • Gaining authorised signatures and printed names from customers for all parts delivered
  • Ensuring that receipts or payments are received for all parts delivered
  • Driving in a safe and courteous manner within the law at all times, ensuring driver behaviour guidelines are followed
  • Having a full understanding of the Brand Values and USP to professionally represent the Brand
  • As the face of Parts Plus maintaining a professional and smart appearance at all times (including your delivery vehicle) providing a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive and efficient van delivery service
  • Checking that all parts delivered match with the customer invoice
  • Achieving own sales targets through building excellent customer relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with business standards and processes, financial legal and ethical guidelines

In order to be successful for the Van Sales Driver position, you must:

  • Hold a clean driving licence
  • Have good verbal and communication skills
  • Be organised and efficient
  • Be able to make responsible decisions
  • Effective time keeping and time management

Skills and experience required:

  • Ideally 3 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Good geographical knowledge of the area
  • Affable and approachable demeanour
  • Ability to use your initiative under pressure

Ford Parts Plus Administrator

Reporting to the Centre Manager the Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support in relation to cash management, system/data maintenance and general administration in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

Key activities will include:

  • Ensuring all monies received (cash, cheques, cards etc.) are processed promptly and securely and managed in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Updating and maintaining all cash journals with SAP
  • Ensuring that all outstanding cash debt is followed up and managed in line with procedure
  • Completing Banking either for collection by designated cash collection provider or for submission in person
  • Maintaining a systematic filing system for the easy retrieval of documentation and information
  • Producing regular weekly/monthly reports as required by the Centre (e.g. vehicle utilisation, customer queries etc.)
  • Managing stationary, office supplies, and opening/processing of post
  • Monitoring and controlling access to systems
  • Providing admin support to the warehouse team, e.g. credits / relocating stock
  • Professionally respond to and deal with customer communication to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with all members of the team, customers, Head Office and other key stakeholders
  • Administering the accurate upkeep of customer database records in line with GDPR regulations
  • Ensuring compliance with business standards and processes, financial, legal and ethical guidelines (including Warranty)

In order to be successful for the Administrator position, you must have:

  • Previous experience in a role with cash handling responsibilities
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills to effectively manage a high workload in a pressurised and often deadline-focused environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and attention to detail
  • You must be a team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn.

Skills and experience required:

  • GCSE Maths/English or equivalent
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel and Outlook. CDK/Kerridge experience desirable
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to build good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Honest disposition due to cash handling responsibilities
