“Cowboy up and decorated bras at the ready – it’s The Wild West Moonwalk London… Yeehaw”
Our wonderful staff at Bath Volkswagen, Janet Clark and Caro Freeland, with two of their family members, are preparing to pound the pavements of the Capitol City wearing a specially created cowboy hat and the Walk the Walk trademark decorated bra, as they take part in the 21st Moonwalk London. Both Janet and Caro will be raising money and awareness in the continued fight against breast cancer.
Organised by breast cancer charity Walk the Walk, 15,000 women and men will be transformed into cowboys and cowgirls. Starting and finishing at Clapham Common, team Bath Volkswagen will take on the challenge. They will “saddle up” and stride past London’s most iconic landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace.
Our front of house manager for Bath Volkswagen, Janet Clark has said: “We are taking part in the Moonwalk London, as this is something that has affected many women in the UK and has touched someone we all know either our work colleagues or close family members. We are all training hard and raising funds to support this worthwhile event, whilst looking forward to walking the streets of London in our decorated bras for such a fantastic cause”.
Janet’s sister Marilyn was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2016/17 and thankfully has made a full recovery with her treatment and the support of family and friends.
Since 1996 Walk the Walk have raised £121 million!
We would really appreciate your support to help Janet and Caro raise as much funds as possible for this amazing charity.
