The ID. SPACE VIZZION
The stylish ID. SPACE VIZZION, the seventh concept of our all-electric ID. family, has been unveiled at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles before appearing at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The ID. SPACE VIZZION brings unrivalled flexibility, quality and design to the electric vehicle sector. It’s based on the modular electric drive matrix (MEB) and its 82kWh battery capacity allows distances of over 300 miles between charges.
It produced a system output of over 340PS on the 4MOTION versions, and the car can sprint from 0-60mph in just five seconds.
The ID. SPACE VIZZION is carefully designed to optimize aerodynamics and increase range, utilising space advantages that come with the removal of components found in a normal petrol car, such as the radiator and bulky internal combustion engine.
Its eye-catching front-end features modern airflow apertures: the air flows through a horizontal panel between the headlights and is directed to the rear over the extremely low-slung bonnet.
There is also airflow into the outer areas of the front bumper, from where it is directed to the rear.
The airflow apertures on the bumper and the bonnet of the ID. SPACE VIZZION have been designed as functional features and are also unmistakable styling elements of the concept car’s exterior.
A striking and sustainable digital interior.
The interior space of the ID. SPACE VIZZION gives it the fell of long wheelbase saloon. Materials used are sustainable, including AppleSkin, and artificial leather containing residual material from apple juice production. No chrome is used in the interior of the ID. SPACE VIZZION and is replaced by a chrome-like paint finish.
The ID. SPACE VIZZION creates a new atmosphere with its fully digitised cockpit. For the first time, all relevant driving information is shown in an augmented reality head-up-display, and there’s a mini display containing all the basic information a driver needs, instead of the classic cockpit.
All entertainment, comfort and online functions and vehicle settings are grouped together on a 15.6-inch touchscreen which appears to hover in mid-air. The driver also receives key information intuitively from the ID. Light – an interactive light strip between the A-pillars.
